Good TEC speakers come and go.  But over the years, a handful of speakers have gone far beyond the call of duty when it comes to delivering value to TEC members.  This unsung group of road warriors have logged thousands of air miles, become intimately familiar with the Marriott Suites and Red Lion Inns of the world and endured countless taxi, limo and rental car rides in the service of TEC.

They have scheduled out months in advance and filled in at the last moment.  They have flown in and out on the same day and performed countless one-night stands.  They have done numerous back-to-backs and sometimes addressed three, four, even five TEC groups in a row.

In the process, they have accumulated the remarkable total of 200 or more TEC presentations.  More importantly, they have significantly impacted the businesses and personal lives of thousands of TEC members around the world.  Today, we have the privilege of honoring one such member of that special group, the TEC 200 Club Achievement Award, Catherine Meek.

Let me explain how rare it is.  Since 1957, TEC has used thousands of speakers.  To date, only 18 speakers have received this award.  That puts Catherine in the top one-half percent of those who have ever addresses a TEC group.  Like the 3,000 hit club in baseball, only those who produce year in and year out at the very highest levels make it into this elite group.

Let me also say that, although this award is measured by quantity of presentations, in reality is is a lot more about quality: quality of content, quality of presentation skills, quality of interaction with TEC members and quality of the person.  The plain truth is, a speaker doesn't last very long on the TEC circuit if they don't bring real value to the table.  The fact that Catherine has been asked to address 200 TEC groups is irrefutable proof of that quality.
